Simplicity is the fredom from artificial ornament, pretentious style or luxury, plainness. Uncomplication. The world is advancing daily. Generations are being consumed by overloads of information and technology advancement. We are on a path that cannot be retraced, living for the moment, caring only about possessions. Simplicity is forgotten.

Our idea is to gather with neighbors and/or strangers, escaping from television, phones, computers, or video games and gathering together in the simple activity of "fire gazing." Standing together and, like meditation, simply "non-doing" together with fire as the center. It will be a trouble-free time to just be while getting to know others.

Neighborhood Fire Gazing

•Step back in time, away from your TV, phone, or computer and come together in simplicity to gather around a fire with neighbors and strangers. Fire has been around since the simplest of times, since the beginning of time. This experience is to bring the neighborhood back to a simple night. This is a night of stillness, a night of simplicity, and a night of coming together as neighbors.

•Fire gazing will encourage simplistic behavior. People who participate in the fire gazing will get to know strangers. They will also un-complicate their own lives. Even if it is for a short period of time it will be a beneficial experience.

•Fire gazing can be compared to mediation which is equal to “non-doing” or “doing nothing.” So come together and join the neighborhood for a night of RELAXATION.

•In the words of Lynyrd Skynyrd:
“And be a simple kind of man.
Be something you love and understand.”
