To promote the well-being of a person is to ensure good health, happiness, and prosperity. It is the state of being content and not wanting or desiring more. To ensure good well-being is the ideal achievement of life.

۞۞

Well-being is the equilibrium of good and bad things in a person's life. It is the act of quelling wants and desires, of suppressing greed and selfishness, and of demonstrating moral stability. When life becomes unbalanced is when well-being becomes forgotten or neglected.

General well-being is composed of numerous values. However, there are three key components: health, happiness, and prosperity. These smaller set of values correlate with each other and without one, well-being cannot be properly fulfilled. All three must be balanced evenly. People must be in control and aware of their life. To be in good health doesn't only mean to exercise, to eat right, and to take care of oneself. It also means to manage stress, receive a proper education, and to engage in positive social relationships. Good health is a crucial part of life. Without it, happiness and prosperity are difficult to maintain. "If you have health, you probably will be happy, and if you have health and happiness, you have all the wealth you need, even if it is not all you want."

Happiness is being overall content and satisfied with life. It is the measurement of health and good fortune. If a person encounters a negative event or experience, it does not mean that they are due for unhappiness for the rest of time. It is a matter of overcoming those events or experiences and moving on with life in a positive direction. "Happiness is nothing more than good health and bad memory."

To become prosperous does not mean to become rich and greedy or to think on a capitalistic approach. It is considered having good welfare. Being wealthy in terms of health and happiness. Prosperity is obtaining basic wants and needs and not becoming obsessed with more. For example: A businessman with a six figure salary, who resides in an enormous house, and who owns several cars is becoming divorced. He never spends time with his family and his health is deteriorating due to stress from his career. He is obsessed with making more and more money. While another man of lower-middle class rents an average house, shares a car with his wife, and is able to spend a good amount of time with his family and friends. Who is more prosperous, the higher income man or the lower income man? "Wealth is not his that has it, but his that enjoys it."

People can work as individuals or as a group to achieve a well-being state. Receiving support from other people can benefit a person by helping to reduce stress, generating new thoughts and ideas, and creating happy and pleasurable moments. It is also important not to rely on others for the welfare of oneself. People must be capable to live their own life. They must control where and how it goes.

Therefore,
Emphasize on how important it is to value social, mental, and physical well-being equally. One cannot out weigh the others. Take on life at a philosophical approach —- understand right from wrong and needs from desires. Be at a peaceful state of mind. Understand that life is what it is. It is what you make out of it.

To achieve well-being, consider life and how it is ranked as a value. Obtain moral knowledge on what is and is not important. Keep in mind that bigger is not always better, and that being frugal is not being selfish. Balance values and priorities. Cooperate with others to ensure a good social well-being and to create positive social relationships.
